During her residency Jonna will continue to make site-based exposures using her large format camera and the lumen process in landscapes and terrains that bear histories of resource extraction. She will also begin work researching a new film and conduct research for her on-going photography project, Slow Drift. Her work will explore the permeability of the land and weather with the body and identity, the storytelling process and the material intersection photography and place. With the Platteforum interns, she will embark on a number of field studies ranging from cloud studies, to personal, room diaries, to a site visit to a former mining site. She also hopes to make a portrait with each intern in a location unique to them.
